Asia’s Gaming Industry Breaks New Records in 2025: What’s Next?

The Asian gaming industry is on fire in 2025. China, South Korea, and Japan remain dominant, but new players like India, Vietnam, and Indonesia are making waves, fueled by mobile gaming and esports.
A report by Newzoo revealed that Asia now accounts for 54% of global gaming revenue, with mobile games leading the charge. Popular genres include multiplayer strategy games, AI-driven RPGs, and virtual reality worlds.
“Asia’s influence on gaming culture is now global,” says Ryu Kwan, an esports analyst based in Seoul.
In particular, AI-generated content and user-customized game worlds are seen as the next frontier for developers aiming to capture increasingly sophisticated gamers.
